MODERN AND EFFICIENT TERMINAL
Sunrise Energy operates the modern, efficient liquified petroleum gas (LPG) terminal at the Port of Saldanha under an exclusive concession granted by Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) in terms of Section 56 of the National Ports Act. It is a critical infrastructure asset for the region and key to energy security in the country, as well as economic development.

The facility is world-class, designed to meet international safety and design standards, whilst ensuring maximum operational efficiency and safety.

Rajen Singh

Mr Balakrishna (Rajen) Singh commenced his role as CEO of Sunrise Energy on 1 January 2023.

SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER
Mamogoto Mokoala

Senior Finance Manager of Sunrise Energy.

Previously served as Finance Manager at Mining Oil and Gas Services (MOGS).

Worked for some of the most prominent companies in their respective fields, at Deloitte and EY in the professional services field, including Boston in the USA, Allan Gray in Asset Management, and Royal Bafokeng Holdings in private equity.

A non-executive director of several companies both in South Africa and offshore and Chairman of the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee at Taquanta Asset Managers (South Africa’s leading cash management firm with over R260 billion assets under management).

A chartered accountant by training, graduated from Wits in 2001 and was chartered by SAICA in 2005 A candidate M. Com, recently submitted a thesis investigating valuation practices of portfolio managers of unlisted equities.

Chairs the South African National Council for the Blind where he has volunteered for a decade and a half.

Most importantly, a father of three and a disability rights activist.

HSSEQ MANAGER

Hesron Haupt

Hesron brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of HSSEQ, underpinned by extensive years of dedicated service ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance within the industry.

As the HSSEQ Manager at Sunrise Energy, Hesron’s commitment to safety excellence is bolstered by his previous tenure at De Beers Marine, where he played an integral role in the ship repair safety team. Additionally, Hesron is a certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO).

TERMINAL MANAGER

Nabawiyah Mustapha

Ms Nabawiyah Mustapha joined Sunrise Energy as an Operations Planner on 1 February 2017. She was since promoted to Operations and Planning Manager.

Ms Mustapha is experienced in the Operational, Planning, Technical and Scheduling areas having served in the Laboratory Quality services team, and the Planning and Scheduling Team, at Chevron Refinery SA for 21 years. (currently – Astron Energy).

HR MANAGER

Anoosha Joseph

Anoosha commenced her tenure with Sunrise Energy on June 1, 2023, initially assuming the role of HR Officer. Demonstrating exceptional capability and leadership, she has since been elevated to the position of HR Manager.

Anoosha brings to the table a wealth of experience, amassing over 35 years of professional expertise through her impactful engagements with Independent Newspapers, JB Publishers, and Oiltanking GC. Her extensive background and strategic insights continue to be invaluable assets to the Sunrise Energy team.

Qualifications:

Diploma in HR Management, Business Administration Management from Damelin College

ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Suritha du Plessis

Suritha joined Sunrise Energy on 16 January 2017. She is an experienced Financial & HR Manager (since 1998) previously working for companies such as Media 24 and Benguela Holdings Group.

Qualifications: BCom Honors in Human Resource Management, Certificate in 21st Century Management (UK). Certified Trainer, Assessor, Skills Development Facilitator, BBBEE Champion and HIV/AIDS peer educator. Registered HR Professional – SABPP-82114067
