MODERN AND EFFICIENT TERMINAL
Sunrise Energy operates the modern, efficient liquified petroleum gas (LPG) terminal at the Port of Saldanha under an exclusive concession granted by Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) in terms of Section 56 of the National Ports Act. It is a critical infrastructure asset for the region and key to energy security in the country, as well as economic development.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

CEO
Rajen Singh was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2023.
Rajen brings over 30 years of international experience in the petrochemical and oil & gas sectors, offering broad expertise and proven leadership to Sunrise Energy. His career spans terminal operations, project execution, commercial management, and strategic development across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
He has held senior roles at globally recognised companies such as Vopak, ENOC, and Oiltanking, and was part of the management teams that successfully executed complex infrastructure developments—from greenfield petroleum and LPG terminals to national strategic fuel storage facilities.
He holds qualifications in Operations and Business Management from the Durban University of Technology and advanced Business Management studies from Erasmus University in Rotterdam as well as several industry-related disciplines, supporting his ability to lead in technically demanding and safety-critical environments.

CFO
Mamogoto Mokoala was appointed Chief Financial Officer in April 2025.
Mamogoto is a Chartered Accountant with over two decades of experience spanning finance, investment, and professional services. He has worked with some of the most respected firms in their fields, including Deloitte and EY (both locally and in the United States), Allan Gray in asset management, Royal Bafokeng Holdings in private equity, and served as Finance Manager at Mining Oil and Gas Services (MOGS).
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he serves as Chair of the South African National Council for the Blind, where he has volunteered for more than 15 years.
He holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting and is a registered Chartered Accountant (SAICA).

HSSEQ MANAGER
Hesron Haupt was appointed HSSEQ Manager in April 2024.
Hesron has extensive experience and expertise in Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) management, with a strong track record of upholding the highest safety and compliance standards in high-risk operational environments.
Before joining Sunrise Energy, he served at De Beers Marine, where he was a key member of the safety team, contributing to the safe execution of complex marine operations. His approach is rooted in a strong understanding of operational risk and regulatory compliance.
He is a certified International Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO), accredited by ISPS Africa, and continues to drive a proactive safety culture across the organisation.

TERMINAL MANAGER
Nabawiyah Mustapha was appointed Terminal Manager in January 2025.
Nabawiyah joined Sunrise Energy in February 2017 as an Operations Planner and has since held several key positions within the Operations Department, culminating in her current role as Terminal Manager. Her career at Sunrise reflects a steady progression built on operational insight, planning expertise, and leadership capability.
She brings more than 20 years of experience from Chevron Refinery South Africa (now Astron Energy), where she held roles in both the Laboratory and Operations. Her background spans technical operations, supply chain planning, and quality systems, providing her with a solid foundation for managing complex terminal operations.
She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and continues to apply a strong analytical and strategic mindset to operational performance, planning, and team leadership within a complex terminal environment.

HR MANAGER
Anoosha Joseph was appointed HR Manager in February 2024.
Anoosha brings over 35 years of professional experience, having held key roles at Independent Newspapers, JB Publishers, and Oiltanking GC. Her understanding of human capital management, organisational culture, and employee engagement supports Sunrise Energy’s people-driven strategy and commitment to inclusive growth.
She holds qualifications in Human Resource Management and Business Administration from Damelin College and continues to apply her strong interpersonal and organisational skills to foster a productive and resilient workplace.
